Another year is about to end, a year that was filled with art and new exciting challenges, but that was mostly filled with tones of benevolent and inspiring people. Blogging has been an interesting ride in 2015 as I moved country and was not sure how it was going to impact The Bubblist and my readers , but it was actually so refreshing. I’m not a big fan of statistics but it’s such a blessing to see the blog growing and welcoming thousands of new readers this year from 115 different countries. I’m happy that The Bubblist became a platform that connects creatives and artists, raises projects and collaborations,it was my goal all along as I see blogging as a tool and not an ego trip.
My year started in Tel Aviv, a place I’m missing dearly and which keeps inspiring me everyday. I saw some strong exhibition there this year such as Simon Fujiwara at Dvir Gallery, Know Hope at Gordon Gallery, This Place at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Gideon Rubin at Alon Segev Gallery, Workplace at the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion, or the group show In Search of Lost Time at Sommer Gallery.
As you noticed I also spend some times in Brussels, a place that keeps surprising me, one of my highlight was the ever growing 67 rue de la Régence which became the contemporary art hub of the city. I’m really excited to see that Dvir Gallery is going to join this place as there is no doubt that their exhibitions will bring something new to the local art scene.
And finally London, my new home, a place where art never end, where museums are free and galleries filled with innovative art. Frieze was definitely one of my highlight of the year, I think it’s going to be a yearly date. My other big art crush was the group exhibition “Losing The Compass” at the White Cube Gallery (on view until January 9), a celebration of textile in art which I’m really fond of.
I could go on forever, but I will simply wish you all the best for this upcoming year. Thank you all for your amazing support and keep spreading the arty vibes.
Xx
Eva
