Guy Yanai is without a doubt one of my favorite Israeli artist. I had the chance to meet him in his studio about a year ago in the south of Tel Aviv. His art is full of bold vibrating colors, and characterised by his use of simple shapes and the way he is flattening them. He pictures everyday objects, and familiar places. I’m particularly fond of his green plants.
I was Oh So excited when I noticed that he will be part of the upcoming group show at the Alice Gallery. “Just Before Brazil” reunited works on paper from few international artists. A highly recommended exhibition.
